Hi, I’m Jo — the founder of Freelance Biz Ninja.
My journey into entrepreneurship began in 2012, when I made the bold decision to leave my job at 24 due to a physical health challenge. At the time, the world of online freelancing was still new and unfamiliar in the Philippines, but I saw an opportunity to build something meaningful from home, armed with nothing more than a computer, an internet connection, and a strong determination to succeed.
In those early years, I took on any project I could find to keep the lights on and put food on the table, all while recovering and teaching myself the ins and outs of freelancing. With no mentors or coaches to guide me, I learned every skill, tool, and strategy from the ground up — and I’m grateful I did.
After years of hard work and persistence, I officially launched my virtual assistant business in 2016. By 2018, I expanded into digital marketing, combining both worlds to offer powerful, well-rounded support to entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Through Freelance Biz Ninja, I’ve been able to create job opportunities, provide free training to aspiring freelancers, and start personal charity efforts — from donating food and clothes to supporting local families and individuals in need.
As for the name “Freelance Biz Ninja” — it reflects two things close to my heart: my love for martial arts, and my passion for working behind the scenes. Like a true ninja, I thrive in the background, quietly helping businesses succeed while letting them shine in the spotlight.
